Hello, I'm Laila.
Design, for me, isn't just about pixels and pretty colours; it's about how it makes you feel. I'm a product designer based in Berlin, working across e-commerce, loyalty, and design systems. I came to it through art direction and illustration, which is why I care as much about how something looks as how it works.
My Journey.
I've spent the last seven years across agencies and startups in India and Germany, starting out in art direction and finding my way into product design, with a Master's in Visual & Experience Design picked up in Potsdam along the way.
I like projects where the problem isn't obvious at the start, where the research changes what you thought you were building, and where the thing actually gets made. The best bit is watching someone use it without needing to be told how.
Most of my recent work has been for small businesses, which I like. A design decision shows up in someone's day pretty quickly, and there's nowhere to hide if it doesn't work.

I started sketching at 14 with a notebook and zero rules. That curiosity never left me; it just turned into a career. Today, I craft experiences that feel human, intuitive, and emotionally resonant: design that connects.
When I’m NOT designing.
When I’m not designing, I’m probably chasing the perfect cup of coffee, experimenting with new brews, painting, or getting lost in a fantasy book, all while overthinking life.
