From problem to prototype.
-
Menstrual health education in India is often shaped by stigma, limited access to reliable information, and the absence of safe, judgment-free environments. Young menstruators frequently turn to informal or inaccurate sources, making it difficult to build confidence in understanding their own bodies.
-
Period Saathi was developed as a concept app that blends technology with culturally resonant visual cues to create a safe and reassuring space for menstrual learning. The process covered research, user interviews, system mapping, wireframing, prototyping, and iterative testing. The final experience centered on calm, sensory-driven interactions that normalise conversations around menstrual health.
-
AI Chatbot: Accurate, stigma-free guidance on menstrual health, pain, and hygiene, available 24/7 for private support.
Community Space: A safe forum for women to share experiences, seek advice, and join workshops focused on menstrual well-being.
Educational Library: Expert-created articles, videos, and interactive quizzes that make learning accessible and engaging.
Cycle Tracking & Journaling: An intuitive calendar with symptom and mood tracking, paired with private journaling that generates personalized insights.
Maps & Smart Reminders: Integrated maps for nearby stores and clinics, plus hygiene reminders for timely pad changes.
